This stunningly unique photograph of a skimarathon is fashioned as if a piece of exceptional land art. Zig-zaging through a valley blanketed in snow, the skiers create a dynamic line through the photograph. In many ways due to the perspective, they resemble a highly-ordered army of ants. Perhaps in turn, this remarks on the importance of the 'bigger picture'. The St. Moritz Ski Marathon involves more than 10,000 cross-country skiers and is one of Leo Mason's favourite events.
