An image of speed, glamour and history, Mason, an award-winning sports photographer, takes the subject of the vintage driving races. The blurred background and tufts of smoke suggest high speed, while the shadow suggests the blasting heat of the mid-day, mid-summer sun. The driver leans forward aggressively as if to urge the car faster. Taken at Goodwood, Britain's foremost vintage racing festival, this image captures just a snapshot of the week's gamour and festivities.
