Only possible with special permission, Howard shot this from from a helicopter over the Palace of Westminster at sunrise in 2015. This, as with his other aerial shots are very complicated to stage, relying on sunrise time calculations, weather forecasts and then directing the pilot to get just the right viewpoint; add negotiating the special permission required to over-fly Westminster, these shots are little short of miraculous.

Howard Kingsnorth

Howard Kingsnorth is an advertising photographer with a distinctive style. His craft has changed dramatically over the last 30 years, embracing new technologies and rolling with the ever-changing times.

Schooled in analogue technique and darkroom tradition, he cut his teeth working as an assistant for established photographers. Proving himself as a ‘smudger’ in his own right, he established his first studio in Shoreditch with impressive array of clients. He has worked with all of the top agencies, creating unforgettable images for the many of the most famous brands. Schooled in technique and craft, Howard was an early adopter of digital technology and continuously develops his look and innovates with new ideas.

Having worked in most genres of advertising photography, Howard has more recently applied his ‘epic’ vision to aerial photography creating dynamic images of cityscapes, urban landscapes and architectural structures. His reputation for delivering innovative photography for brands and advertising campaigns has become widely sought after by global creative agencies and architectural clients.  Although driven by his own personal work, he seeks to apply his vision to commissioned work wherein he welcomes the opportunity to develop ideas alongside agency creatives.

He says of himself..."London based, worldly wise... multi-genre photographer with a wealth of experience, and an eye for the darkly beautiful . . some say"  I think we agree.
