This unique image is baffling to first view, Saito has captured the orbit of the earth as depicted by the stars. The stunning concentric circles that whizz around each other highlight the movement of the world even when we appreciate a still view. This kaleiodscopic photograph is a blur of purples, pinks and deep deep blues- highlighting the beauty of the nightime sky. Award winning landscape photographer, Shumon Saito, is based in Tokyo, Japan, but owing to the light pollution in that city, travelled to northern California to capture this amazing long exposure "star circles" shot.
Both a professional landscape photographer and software engineer, Shumon is based in Tokyo, Japan, but regularly visits the US on assignments. His most recent awards include Editor's Favourite on National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest 2014, Winner Pashadelic Bay Area photo contest 2014 and 2nd place, Pashadelic Global Photo contest 2013.
